We cannot abandon easements. It will only serve to criminalize homelessness even more. Which is bad. I oppose agenda item 63.

I oppose item 63. These are public spaces and must remain that way. Criminalizing our unsheltered neighbors is cruel and we need alternatives!

I oppose item 63. This action would further displace and criminalize vulnerable unsheltered citizens without offering other resources to support them. Making these passages inaccessible to unsheltered people won’t solve the issue of homelessness or help those in need, but rather move the issue out of view for property owners in this area.

I am writing in opposition to item 63. While I understand neighborhood residents desire to maintain a safe space, city resources would be better used increasing shelter bed space and housing resources rather than further criminalizing unsheltered residents.

I stand in opposition of this agenda item. Our public land should not be privatized by individuals to seek to gentrify our area and criminalize those who use the space. We should be providing support, shelter, and safety to our unsheltered population instead of pushing them away with no alternatives. We should be standing with our community and provide more resources for those in need instead of catering to the land and business owners in the area who only seek a profit.

I strongly oppose this item. Keep public space PUBLIC! Stop criminalizing humans occupying public space. Provide more resources for those who need assistance.

I strongly oppose this measure to restrict the options of our houseless neighbors in Phoenix. They need more solutions available to them, not less. #decriminalizehomelessness

It's unacceptable to criminalize our unsheltered neighbors while refusing to offer them solutions. Increase shelter beds!!!!

Criminalizing humans for being disadvantaged is absolutely unacceptable. Looking at a houseless person as an issue of property value and not a fellow human who is in need of systemic help is selfish, ugly and at best misguided. Criminalizing houselessness is an act of violence that solves nothing. Providing care, shelter and opportunity is a solution, and the reaction of decent human beings to houseless people. Let’s be decent human beings.

Do not criminalize your unhoused citizens. It is cruel to offer aid through item 62 and then take it back in the next item. Do the right thing for those who are in need and help them! As a Phoenix resident, I strongly oppose this item.

The city should be providing resources including the beds mentioned in item 62 instead of vilifying the homeless population.

The city of Phoenix spends enormous amounts of time and money side stepping the problem of homelessness. Businesses pay taxes we get it but the city pushed the homeless into these areas. I also pay taxes and there are solutions! Stop playing games and help those that can’t help themselves! You can keep moving them and Destroying what little they have but there is a solution that can help DO THE RIGHT THING for once!

Assist your community, don't criminalize them
