I think it is very important that we all are required to wear masks at this time to respect and protect each other and ourselves!

Please vote in favor of citywide face coverings. As you know, the trajectory of the Covid-19 virus is headed in a dangerously wrong direction in Arizona. We are counting on the City Council to do the right thing for our health and safety. It's important.

Study after study show that facial masks reduce transmission of coronavirus. Phony& Arizona must require face masks.

As a physician and mom, I ask the city of Phoenix to require masking in Phoenix. This evidence based strategy will help save lives during our corona virus pandemic.

Thank you for your attention to this important matter.

    Sincerely,

    Juliana Kling

Please require the use of face masks in a public setting. Arizona has become a hotspot for COVID-19 infections, and we have reliable scientific evidence that face masks prevent the spread. Protect us all.

Let’s follow science and the CDC guidelines, and not a right-wing notion that freedom equals bad community choices.

THIS is a virus from which 99.98% of those affected successfully recover!!! You do NOT get to tell me what to do to MY BODY!! NOT EVER!! We have an immune system for a reason. Where’s the educating the public on the necessity of a strong immune system as our first line of defense; healthy eating, consistent exercise, quality sleep, minimize stress. THAT is how we battle viruses! MY BODY MY CHOICE AND I WILL NOT COMPLY WITH YOUR FACE DIAPER MANDATE. YOU ARE KILLING HUMANITY AND THE ECONOMY.

I strongly support mandating the use of masks in Phoenix. I understand that it may feel like a nuisance, but absent a stay-at-home order, masks, at least currently, represent one of the best options to reduce transmission between individuals. CDC, based on scientific evidence, recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings, and we should do whatever is necessary to make that happen. Unfortunately, this cannot be a matter of personal preference since there are lives at stake...

This is a health issue, which should never be politicized. Wearing a mask illustrates respect and caring for others we come in contact with. They are our neighbors, families, strangers, cashiers, drivers, police, firefighters, medical workers, bakers, mail carriers, pharmacists—all those who provide for our daily needs. Please vote to protect our city. Thank you.

I'm in a high-risk group at 69. I would love to feel safe enough to go into public spaces like museums, not just grocery stores. I wear a mask to protect others even though I feel well, just in case. I want them to do the same for me.

Please, please, please, please enforce a mask policy. Arizona has become a hotspot for Covid-19 because of the sloppy decisions of Governor Ducey. We need people to take this pandemic seriously, and we need people to wear masks. They have to realize that it may not be about their own safety, it's about the safety of our older citizens, children, and individuals with disabilities and/or compromised immune systems. The safety of our community should NOT be a bargaining chip.

I support passing a policy or ordinance that requires all persons over the age of two years to wear a mask in public places. I am a person with a respiratory impairments (asthma) which makes me particularly vulnerable to getting the caronavirus and not recovering from it. I am concerned that business owners are not requiring customers to wear masks. They are allowing persons without masks to enter businesses. They need to be held accountable.

I support the use of masks. Some protection for oneself and everyone is better than no protection. Do we really want another New York situation here in Arizona? No!

Masks cannot rid us of this horrific, deadly pandemic on their own, but they are an important part of limiting its spread. The city should follow the scientific evidence we have instead of listening to loud whining to the contrary.

I OPPOSE ANY MANDATE that requires a person to wear a mask. Some people have conditions that would cause harm if they wear a mask. This is very slippery slope to make mandates about this sort of thing and should not be allowed because where do we stop if we allow mandates like this. I will not shop or patronize any business or place that mandates wearing a mask. Thank you for listening.

Masks are an imperative protective measure against the spread of COVID-19. It's not too late to save lives by mandating their use. Please consider the scoentific data, then make face coverings mandatory in public spaces.

Don't be fooled by the naysayers and those who suggest a loss of freedom if we must wear a mask when away out in public. We have had voluntary mask wearing. The data (cases & hospitalizations) shows that this is not working because a large number of people ignore the health and safety of others by refusing to wear one. I strongly support mandatory mask wearing. The life I save could be yours and I am certain that it will be mine!

Requiring masks is essential to preventing more COVID-19 cases and senseless deaths in our state. We must follow the recommendations of our Healthcare system and think of the lives of citizens with higher importance than immediate economic recovery. This is the right decision for the health of our state in the long term.
