No masks. Mandatory masks are not necessary after 4 months of this Covid 19 “ pandemic”. Health experts are at odds, the WHO says masks for healthy people are not necessary and the CDC cannot make their minds up day to day. Temperatures will be over 100 degrees for the next 60 to 90 days and will only complicate health issues with the mandatory wearing of masks. NO MASKS! Let people make their own choice!

Masks must be mandatory in all public spaces. I won't patronize any business that disregards basic safety precautions and ignores CDC guidelines. If the City wants public spaces to open up this is a very simple precaution that must be taken.

I’m in favor of making masks mandatory in public areas of Phoenix. Wearing a mask shows that we care about our neighbors and community. Let’s stop the spread and lesson the blow to our hospitals by requiring masks. Thank you.

It is un-American to even consider forcing citizens to do anything they don't want to do. Phoenix is stepping over the line this time. Prepare for a major battle if this goes through.

I am a family physician with the Banner Health. I support mandating face masks because this is how we save lives. This is not a political issue, it is an issue of common decency. What does it say about us as a society that this is even a question? Plus our economy will NEVER recover until people trust that going out won’t put our loved ones lives at risk. That can’t happen until we get the virus under control so the public health argument is also the single most important economic argument.

I am a Phoenix resident in District 3, and we desperately NEED mandatory face covering in public spaces. Arizona is dead last in the nation for how we have handled the spread of COVID-19. It is spreading like wildfire, we are weeks away from hospitals at max capacity, and people are dying. It is evident that cities with required mask wearing have slower rates of infection. Those working in the public are being needlessly endangered. We need to take action and protect our community.

This is a serious matter of public safety. Please enforce masks. I am wearing one to protect others, but it doesn’t do me lot of good, if other people don’t understand understand the seriousness of the matter or simply don’t bother to wear theirs.

I support requiring a mask until the cases of COVID-19 either decline or we have a better way to stop the spread.

We have all seen how facemasks have helped reduce the spread of the virus in countries around the world. Arizona's failure to date to mandate them has led to multiple infections and an unacceptable level of deaths already with more to occur if you don't act where our Governor has failed. Act now, act swiftly to mandate face masks be worn in all public places in Phoenix and in all gatherings of 10 or more persons. We need your leadership during this health crisis. Please ACT NOW!

I wear a mask to protect others in public and I would like them to do the same for me.

As a small business owner I’d appreciate a mandatory face mask policy to ensure the safety of our customers and staff. Scientific evidence shows that properly wearing a mask reduces the risk of infection.

Please for the love of God mandate everyone to wear face masks when stepping outside of their homes into any public place. I wear mine to protect you and your family, and you should wear yours to protect me and my family. Wearing face masks has been proven to reduce viral transmission and spread of this disease as we have seen in other states and countries .... it will buy us more time and save more lives until a vaccine is successfully manufactured.

I support requiring a mask be worn in public until the COVID-19 cases in AZ decline to a level acceptable to public health care experts.

Arizona has turned into a hot spot for Covid-19. The best way we are able to control it without a vaccine is to cover our mouths and stay away from large groups of people. The majority of positive cases currently in the state are young adults. If they don’t care about themselves then maybe they should think about their parents or grandparents who are more likely to die from the illness.

RN with Masters degree in nursing ed and research. There is No valid data showing that face 'coverings' prevent the spread of Covid-19. Only the N95 is clinically proved to prevent the micro particles or virus particles from entering into the mouth or nose of an individual, therefore unless the face covering is an N95, the face coverings are useless and only creating more CO2 buildup in the brain and tissues.
